This year the Patient and Client Council returned to the Balmoral Show to meet hundreds of people from across Northern Ireland and encourage them to share their views on Health and Social Care services.
Health and Social Care remains a very popular topic, with visitors sharing what they like and dislike about services here.
Some visitors were keen to highlight their experiences of good access to GPs and this is really important. Others shared areas of concern, including, increasing waiting times for hospital appointments, lack of mental health services, the need for better care of the elderly in their own home, and the increasing levels of third party “top up” fees for nursing home care.
The Patient and Client Council will continue to reflect what people are experiencing in communities, and inform decision makers, to help ensure the public are listened to when planning services.
