Earlier this year, the Patient and Client Council engaged extensively with many on the Adult Safeguarding Protection Consultation. The Department of Health have now released their analysis report and final policy proposals following this consultation.
Public engagement and consultation with advance care planning
Ulster University, supported by the Public Health Agency, Patient and Client Council, All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care, and Palliative Care Research Forum Northern Ireland, are hosting a workshop to engage members of the public with advance care planning.
Advance Care Planning (ACP) is a broad term covering personal, clinical, legal, and financial planning that enables a person to think about their present and plan for their future.
What: Virtual workshop
When: 17th September 2021, 14.30-16.00
Why: to share information on advance care planning based on recent research, provide space to think about what ACP means on a personal level, and create an opportunity to engage in policy consultations.
